Day 1
Hymn- All over the world
Theme: Wisdom
Wisdom is the most perfect of the gifts; of wisdom it is written “all good things came to me with her, and innumerable riches through her.” It is the gift of wisdom that strengthens our faith, fortifies hope, perfects love and promotes practice of virtues. Wisdom enlightens the mind to discern things divine.
Reading: Wisdom: 8: 7-9
Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, before ascending into heaven, you promised to send the Holy Spirit to complete your work in your apostles and disciples. Give us the same Holy Spirit that He may perfect in us the work of your grace and love. Grant us the spirit of wisdom that we may aspire for the things that are eternal, the spirit of Understanding to enlighten our minds with the light of your truth, the spirit of Counsel that we may choose the way that pleases God alone, the spirit of Fortitude that we may bear our crosses with patience and courage, the spirit of Knowledge that we may know God and ourselves, the spirit of Piety that we may be committed to service, the spirit of Fear of the Lord that we may filled with loving reverence to God and the fear of displeasing Him.
